ASAP Rocky Named Ray-Ban’s New Creative Director After Landmark Week

ASAP Rocky Joins Ray-Ban as First-Ever Creative Director, “Blacked Out” Collection Coming Soon

ASAP Rocky is stepping into the world of high fashion once again, this time as Ray-Ban’s first-ever creative director. The Harlem rapper’s latest venture follows a dramatic week in which he was acquitted of two firearm assault charges that could have resulted in a 24-year sentence.

Ray-Ban officially announced the collaboration on Friday (Feb. 21), revealing that Rocky will launch his first collection, “Blacked Out,” in April. While details are still under wraps, the collection is expected to feature updated versions of Ray-Ban’s iconic frames, incorporating ultra-black lenses and gold-plated accents. The partnership will also extend beyond eyewear, with select Ray-Ban stores receiving design revamps and Rocky fronting major campaigns.

Expressing his excitement, the “Fashion Killa” artist stated, “I’ve always admired Ray-Ban’s ability to stay true to its roots while constantly evolving. I’m excited to be part of the strong heritage and develop the next chapter for an iconic brand like Ray-Ban.”

Ray-Ban President Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio also praised Rocky’s creative influence, calling him a “visionary artist” whose fearless approach aligns perfectly with the brand’s DNA. “We are reinforcing the brand’s values of innovation, pioneering spirit, and courage. Let the future begin!”

With a proven track record of trendsetting style, ASAP Rocky’s latest collaboration is set to make waves in both fashion and music culture.
